Dental Tips
Most children will be able to brush their own teeth by age 6 or 7. Select for them a brush that has soft, rounded bristles and teach them to use only a pea-sized amount of toothpaste.

Rinse your mouth with plain water a few times each day when you don't have a chance to use a toothbrush or floss. This helps dislodge food particles trapped next to teeth that cause problems when left there too long.

Remember that excessive intake of fluoride can harm your teeth. Being a very important element for our dental health, fluoride and its levels in your body should be kept under control. Increased amounts of fluoride can cause pores and other types of tooth enamel abnormalities.

It is absolutely necessary to pay attention on your children’s consumption of acidic and low pH foods as the teeth of young children are especially vulnerable to all these negative effects of acids and sugars.

Fillings (Tooth-Colored)
Historically, dentists would fill and seal cavities using a silver and mercury amalgam, called a filling. Composite, or tooth colored fillings, are considered a stronger, safer and more natural-looking alternative to mercury. Made of a thin but durable tooth-colored resin, tooth colored fillings are virtually undetectable and can be used on back teeth. Tooth colored fillings are bonded to the... Read More
